Blueberries and Cream Protein Oatmeal

Blueberries and Cream Protein OatmealTHE BEST oatmeal you will ever have!  I’m obsessing over this because it is so yummy!  It is way better than packaged varieties because the blueberries are still so juicy and there’s so much protein!

1 Cup Oats (I used Quaker Old Fashioned)
1 3/4 Cup Water
Nutmeg and Cinnamon
1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (I used MusclePharm Combat powder)
1 Tablespoon almond milk
1/4 Cup frozen blueberries

Prepare the oatmeal as directed on the package, I usually use 1 cup dry oats equal to 2 servings according to the label. I always omit the salt if it’s suggested and cook it in the microwave.  Add a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg and mix, I usually cook for an extra minute after this addition.  Then add protein powder and almond milk.  Add the frozen blueberries stir, let the oatmeal sit for a minute while it thaws the blueberries.  Enjoy!

When using 1 cup oats (454 calories*, 63g carbs, 10g fiber, 35g protein)

*This may seem like a lot of calories, but keep in mind it is for technically 2 servings of the oatmeal.  The recipe is also intended to be an entire meal and will keep you sated for a long time.
